After the defeat of YUGOSLAVIA in 1941 SLOVENIA was divided among GERMANY,
HUNGARY (MAGYAR) and ITALY, which acquired the south-western part of the country,
the Ljubljana Basin, and this was given the status of an Italian province.
After the capitulation of Italy this region was occupied by German army in 1944
and the name was Laibach.
