Information
Former German territory which was ceded to Belgium under the Versailles Treaty
of 1919. Stamps of Belgium with overprint were issued in 1920 and were valid
until 1931. Same were also valid for EUPEN. Prior to that, stamps were issued
for EUPEN AND MALMEDY as one. From 1925 stamps of BELGIUM were in use. Between
1940-1944 temporarily reoccupied by GERMANY.
