Area - 16,156 sq.km; Capital - Seyhan
A territory of Turkey in southeastern Asia Minor. Cilicia was occupied by French
and British forces in 1918, transferred to administration of FRANCE in 1919, and in
1920 part of it came under the French mandated territory of SYRIA. It was
returned to TURKEY as per the Lausanne Treaty in 1923. Stamps issuing between
1919-1921.
